Founded in the city of Petrópolis, a mountain region in the state of Rio de Janeiro, Única-Fácil has more than 80 years of experience in the public transportation industry. The company operates in the cities of Rio de Janeiro, Região dos Lagos, Baixada Fluminense, and Petrópolis, as well as Juiz de Fora in the state of Minas Gerais, carrying nearly two million passengers annually.
Única-Fácil was looking for a planning and scheduling platform that would allow the quick creation and analysis of various service scenarios, provide key performance indicators (KPIs), and digitalize the company's work processes. With the objective of increasing the efficiency, agility, and predictability of their daily operations, Única-Fácil entered into a partnership with Optibus to use Optibus’ Planning and Scheduling products, part of the company’s end-to-end software platform for public transportation operations.
With powerful optimization algorithms and artificial intelligence, Optibus' cloud-native software will contribute to the total digital transformation of Única-Fácil's data, processes, and systems. This will make network changes automated and simple, and increase the agility and precision of the planning and operation teams’ work.
Optibus’ Scheduling product uses advanced optimization algorithms and machine learning to run crew and vehicle optimizations in minutes.
“We are confident in Optibus' products and in the benefit that the platform will bring to Única-Fácil in terms of operational and cost efficiency. We will now have the ability to be more agile in decision making and improve our standard of work, bringing optimized solutions in real time,” said Matheus Neves, CEO of Única-Fácil.
“It is a privilege to work on this project with Única-Fácil. We are delighted to have been chosen as the software solution in their journey towards the digitalization of their processes and operations. We are sure that it will be a fruitful partnership over the coming years and are grateful and proud to work with our partners to make public transportation better, together,” said Victor Celada, Optibus' Regional Director in Brazil.
