Seven thousand cities around the world now have public transportation services planned and managed using Optibus!

The milestone comes as Niagara Transit signs on to use Optibus’ end-to-end software platform in Canada, bringing communities across Ontario's Niagara Region into the Optibus network.

Other cities to recently optimize and implement services using Optibus come from across the U.S., Brazil, the United Kingdom, Germany, Spain, Italy, New Zealand, and more.

A Global Movement Toward Smarter Transit

Optibus’ growth to 7,000 cities reflects the rising demand for technologies that modernize how public transportation is planned and operated and that make services more responsive to community needs.

From Scheduling to Passenger Billboards, Strategic Planning to Real-Time Control, Optibus’ platform continues to expand to meet this demand and solve some of the biggest challenges in the industry — transitioning to electric fleets, improving service reliability, mitigating driver shortages, and more.

This milestone also illustrates the power of scalable, cloud-native technology. Whether it’s a large operator serving millions of passengers or a transportation agency navigating complex network redesign, Optibus offers a flexible solution that adapts to local, organizational needs.

Amos Haggiag, CEO and Co-founder of Optibus, said:

"Reaching 7,000 cities is not just a metric of growth — it's a sign that agencies and operators worldwide are embracing digital transformation to improve public transportation for everyone. We’re proud of this progress and excited for what’s ahead. The need for better public transportation is universal, and we’re committed to being part of the solution, city by city.”
