TailWIND Award - bannerWe are thrilled to announce that Optibus has been named one of the first-ever recipients of the Copec WIND Ventures TailWIND Award! This recognition is a significant milestone in our journey, highlighting our successful expansion into the Latin American market and the role we play in the region's ongoing digital and economic transformation.

A Testament to Our Growth and Impact

The TailWIND Award acknowledges companies that have demonstrated outstanding growth and innovation, particularly in their expansion into new markets. For Optibus, this award is a testament to our dedication to enhancing public transportation systems around the world, especially in Latin America. Our platform, which leverages artificial intelligence and optimization algorithms, is transforming how cities manage public transportation, ensuring that services are more efficient, sustainable, and accessible.

Driving the Future of Public Transportation in Latin America

Latin America represents one of the most exciting and impactful regions for the future of public transportation. With public and shared transportation accounting for 68% of passenger travel—one of the highest rates globally—there is a pressing need for efficient and sustainable solutions. Our work in cities such as Santiago de Chile, Rio de Janeiro, São Paulo, Belo Horizonte, Porto Alegre, Manaus, Recife, and Fortaleza is helping to meet this demand.

In cities like Santiago and São Paulo, Optibus is not only providing advanced planning and scheduling software solutions but is also playing a pivotal role in the region's transition to electric buses (eBuses), as highlighted in our case study on RBU Santiago's success in reducing CO2 emissions through the use of our software. We are also proud to be the planning software behind Chile’s first fully electric bus system outside Santiago, in Antofagasta. As Latin America accelerates its shift towards electromobility, our software is enabling transportation operators to manage the complexities of electric vehicle (EV) operations, from optimizing charging schedules to minimizing energy costs.

A Strategic Partnership for Sustainable Mobility

Our recognition by Copec WIND Ventures, the strategic venture capital arm of Copec, underscores the strong alignment between our goals and Copec’s mission to drive sustainable energy and mobility solutions in Latin America. Through our partnership, we are exploring synergies that go beyond bus electrification, including innovations in smart charging and eBus-as-a-service models.

This collaboration is crucial as we work together to reimagine urban mobility in Latin America, ensuring that the region's cities are not only more efficient but also more sustainable.

Looking Ahead: Continuing Our Commitment to Innovation

Receiving the TailWIND Award is not just an honor—it’s a powerful affirmation of the impact we are making and a motivator to continue pushing the boundaries of what’s possible in public transportation. We are deeply committed to furthering our work in Latin America and beyond, using our technology to support cities as they transition to greener, more efficient transportation systems.

Amos Haggiag, our CEO and co-founder, expressed our collective pride in receiving this award: "Optibus is honored to be recognized by Copec WIND Ventures and to continue our work in Latin America. This award reflects our commitment to enabling more sustainable public transportation, and we look forward to deepening our impact in the region."

As we celebrate this achievement, we also look forward to the future—continuing our mission to transform public transportation and contribute to the creation of smarter, more sustainable cities worldwide.

Thank you to Copec WIND Ventures for this recognition, and congratulations to our team and partners who make this work possible.
