Darren brings to Optibus over two decades of leadership experience from top global technology companies, including Sophos, Tanium, Hitachi Vantara, and EMC.
At Optibus, Darren will drive market expansion across the EMEA region, strengthening access to new technologies that support efficient, equitable, and sustainable public transportation systems. His appointment reinforces Optibus’ commitment to strategic, sustainable commercial growth and investment.
Throughout his career, Darren has nurtured and led high-performance sales teams across diverse global markets. At Sophos, he led the Northern Europe business, overseeing the UK, Ireland, and Nordics, and spearheaded their transition towards an "as-a-service" model while maintaining strong growth. At Tanium, Darren managed Enterprise & Emerging Markets, fostering new business and strategic partnerships. During his 14-year tenure at Hitachi Vantara, he rose to VP & General Manager for the UK & Ireland, where he led large-scale digital transformation initiatives across enterprise technology and IoT sectors.
With a stellar track record in enterprise sales strategy, business transformation, and talent development, Darren is poised to make a significant impact on Optibus’ stakeholders. His leadership will help scale Optibus' footprint while driving customer value for operators and agencies around the globe, fostering innovation, and promoting a culture of performance and growth.
