Today, Optibus announced the opening of its Nordic headquarters in Stockholm following soon-to-be-announced customer signings in the region.

Led by Julie Jacobson Möller, Optibus’ Regional Director, Nordics, the Nordics headquarters is based in the Kollektivtrafikens Hus at Stockholm Central Station, a prestigious work space dedicated to key players in Sweden’s public transportation industry, including public transportation authorities and operators, research and advisory entities, and transportation-related start-ups. The space aims to be the center of the public transportation industry, where stakeholders can be involved in collaborating and shaping the industry.

Optibus’ expanded presence in the Nordics will enable transportation providers across Sweden, Norway, Finland, Denmark, and Iceland to leverage optimization algorithms and artificial intelligence to develop smarter solutions for local challenges, including driver shortages and electric bus operations, which support a larger regional goal of reducing greenhouse gas emissions.

“The Nordics are leading the way in sustainable public transportation. Optibus’ technology can help to advance that mission by making it easier and more affordable to manage electric buses, benefitting the operators of public transportation and making Nordic cities cleaner and greener,” said Dave Joshua, Optibus’ General Manager for Europe, the Middle East, and Africa (EMEA).
