Optibus, the leading software platform for planning and operating public transportation networks, today announced the appointment of Omri Cohen as Chief Product Officer (CPO). Cohen joins the executive leadership team with the goal of amplifying the impact Optibus brings to operators and public agencies through innovations that help them work faster, improve passenger services, reduce costs, optimize resources, and confidently manage the complex, mission-critical demands of modern public transportation.
Cohen brings to Optibus more than 20 years of B2B SaaS product leadership, with a record of taking high-stakes challenges and translating them into powerful technology solutions. Most recently, he served as VP of Product at monday.com, overseeing the Work Management and Upmarket domains that represented the majority of the company's $1.3B revenue and that enterprises rely on for business-critical workflows.
Before that, he spent six years as SVP of Product at Guesty, scaling the product organization and leading the integration of six acquisitions, achieving 10x MRR growth. Earlier, at Skai (formerly Kenshoo), he helped pioneer a new software category and established their core product as the undisputed market leader, evidenced by three consecutive Gartner Magic Quadrant leader positions.
Central to Cohen's product vision is harnessing emerging technologies to create value for public transportation agencies and operators. He will lead Optibus' efforts to further integrate AI into the platform, expanding existing intelligent automation and optimization capabilities that clients rely on while developing new AI-powered tools that tackle demanding challenges. His hands-on experience leading AI transformation and strategy at scale means he arrives with a proven playbook for how to help clients unlock value with AI.
"Optibus has fundamentally changed how cities move by turning massive, real-world operational challenges into elegant, data-driven software solutions. Having spent two decades building platforms that transform how enterprises work, I am incredibly excited to step into this role at a time when next-generation technology can radically optimize global transit,” said Cohen.
“We are entering a pivotal chapter focused on product maturity, commercial scale, and high-efficiency growth. AI and intelligent automation will play a vital supporting role, but the real victory lies in delivering a world-class enterprise platform that scales seamlessly. Driving sustainable impact alongside such a phenomenal team is exactly the kind of high-stakes mission that drives me.”
"Omri brings the experience and impact-driven outlook we need to take our AI vision and platform play to the next level," said Amos Haggiag, CEO and co-founder of Optibus. "His hands-on background building complex enterprise platforms and strong AI mindset makes him the right leader to ensure Optibus continues to deliver meaningful products for transit operators around the world."
