Mr. Fernandez-Pino believes in technology as a tool for creating more sustainable, vibrant cities, and for building profitable, purposeful businesses that serve both shareholders and society. In his advisory role, Mr. Fernandez-Pino will bring to Optibus his decades of experience leading award-winning, large digital transformation programmes spanning e-commerce, CRM, web, and mobile apps, and rolling out Model 2 contactless and Automated Delay Repay (ADR) programmes for transport, both unique in the world at the time of implementation.

“As an urbanite who is passionate about the future of cities, I am excited to join Optibus’ advisory board,” said Mr. Fernandez-Pino. “Optibus stands to make a positive difference in our cities by helping operators and local authorities plan public transport more efficiently, while also improving prospects and profits. This is a win-win situation, and I look forward to supporting Optibus’ operations and product development to achieve our shared objective of high quality urban transport networks.”
